To reach the summit of Everest, climbers must traverse a broad range of skills: physical stamina for persisting through incredibly long days, mental fortitude in the face of harsh conditions and little food or air, technical know-how to navigate intricate climbs under duress—most notably on Hillary Step—and adaptation to altitude nearly too much for human physiology.

My Experience on Everest:
Like many others, I have not reached the summit of Everest but going to basecamp is both powerful and awe inspiring. As well as being one of the finest treks in Nepal, with jaw-dropping panoramas of towering Himalayan summits including Lhotse and Nuptse, the cultural experience of the Sherpa villages has etched this trek into my memory as one of life’s most outstanding adventures.
Aconcagua, Argentina (6.962 meters)

My Experience on Aconcagua
Aconcagua proved more difficult than I thought, because of the constant wind and cold — but where could you feel better than here when standing on the highest point in South America. The slow and steady approach (perfect for acclimatisation of the human body) is mandatory to be able to reach the top.
Denali in Denali National Park, Alaska (6,190 meters)
North America is home to The Great One
At 6,190 metres (20,310 feet), Denali is the tallest peak in North America and it sits in Alaska. Extreme weather, isolated location, technical challenges Denali is thus generally thought of as one of the hardest mountains to climb given its latitude and extreme environment. This peak is for a lot of seasoned climbers, a crowning glory.

My Experience on Denali
If anything, with temperatures plummeting and the weather that can change at any moment being a factor in our attempt on Denali we knew this to be one of the hardest physical and mental expeditions I had even embarked upon. This peak leaves no room for error — you need to be prepared and experienced.
Mont Blanc, France/Italy (4,810 meters)
Western Europes highest summit
Mont Blanc (m-4807) is the highest mountain in Western Europe, with altitude straddling France and Italy. Mont Blanc has a generally low level of technical climbing compared to most peaks at 4,810 meters (15,781 feet) and is considered “just” alpine — read: accessible but difficult for any mortals in reasonable physical condition. The routes are a mix of technical climbing, glacier travel and breathtaking alpine scenery which has made it one of the busiest mountaineering venues in Europe.

That climb of Mont Blanc was memorable for both the amazing views and the technical aspect of navigating across glaciers and up steep ridgelines. Even more I enjoyed the fellowship of other climbers in my journey.

At 5,895 meters (19,341 feet), Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa. Because this iconic mountain — that lures thousands of adventurers to it each year — is notable in one way that separates it from virtually all other tall peaks: It can be climbed without any technical climbing skills whatever. But its total of 400 tons is difficult to overlook, and massive high altitudes pose real obstacles. Kilimanjaro is a member of the renowned “Seven Summits” and it’s frequently acknowledged as the easiest summit on this list for non-technical climbers.

My Experience on Kilimanjaro
Although kilimanjaro was not technical the altitude is tough and so was the the long summit dayenaries scanned my applause. The variety of landscapes encountered on the way and the symbolism of being at “the roof” of Africa, made climbing Kilimanjaro an unforgettable journey.
Mount Elbrus, Russia (5,642 meters)
Europe’s Highest Peak
The Mount Elbrus is one of the two summits located in Russia’s Causcasus Mountains and it is the highest mountain peak in Europe at an elevation of 5,642 meters (18,510 feet). Elbrus, which is also one of the “Seven Summits,” a collection of the highest peaks in each continent and chased by climbers aiming at climbing them all. Matterhorn, Switzerland (4,478 meters)

Les Courtes : A 4,000+ meter peak located a few kilometers to the east of the Matterhorn. The Matterhorn: Probably one of the most recognizable peaks in the world, known for its dramatic pyramid shape. One of the highest peaks in the Alps, it stands at a height of 4478 meters (14,692 ft) and marks the border with Italy. It is a technically tougher climb compared to some other peaks on this list and requires rock climbing and scrambling.

At 4,892 meters (16,050 feet), Mount Vinson is the tallest peak on the continent of Antarctica. One of the most remote and least climbed of the ‘Seven Summits,’ mountaineers that seek to climb Mount Vinson face not just extremely cold temperatures, but also the logistical challenges associated with climbing in frozen wastelands of Antarctica.

Antarctica Remote Adventure: One of the more unique and remote experiences on Earth.. Climbing Unfortunately, the number of individuals getting a chance to visit this icy continent is very low.
Extreme cold: Mount Vinson is a lot of serious business in general, the extreme cold and wind make it that much more challenging even for seasoned climbers.

My Experience in Antarctica
Although I have not yet had the pleasure of climbing Mount Vinson, I do know from speaking to several climbers that the harsh conditions and stunningly remote beauty of this peak make for one of the most humbling and distinctive mountaineering experiences out there.
Ama Dablam, Nepal (6,812 meters)
Technical wave Challenge in Himalaya
Alex Ekins A s a climb, Ama Dablam is an aesthetically beautiful line obviously, but also one that potentially offers significant technical challenge. With a height of 6,812 meters (22,349 feet), it is sometimes called “Matterhorn of the Himalayas” thanks to that distinct, symmetrical four-sided shape. Ama Dablam is a rock and ice climb and will test every form of climbing skills a mountaineer has.
Why Climb Ama Dablam?
Difficulty: A terrain mix of toughened up rock, ice and snow climbing making it technically challenging for advanced climbers.

Cultural Experience-of-the Spear (Ama Dablam) The climb up to Ama Dablam moves one through the lanes of local Sherpa villages which has retained its originality and offered an experience of a lifetime cultural world of Khumbu.

I have not climbed Ama Dablam, but trekked in its shadow on my trek to Everest Base Camp. Even more so than Norway’s Troll Wall, Meunier adds of the Italian wall: “It is one of the top peaks anybody who does serious climbing would really like to climb.”

The U.S. is increasingly a training ground for mountaineers due to its wide range of routes, from easy starter climbs to slippery technical ascents as well. This mountain is known for its spiritual inspiration and beautiful covered snow slopes.
Why Climb Mount Shasta?
Novice Mountaineers: Avalanche Gulch on Mount Shasta is a relatively easy glacier travel / snow climbing route.

It is where I have been to the top for a number of times already.. and that my friends, Shasta beauty never gets old.. It is the most popular peak in California, and whether it’s your first or fiftieth time on the mountain, Shasta can provide some of the finest climbing and untouched vistas to be found in the Golden State.
